Privacy Policy for Anchu
Last updated: 2026-06-22
This Privacy Policy describes how Anchu ("the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app.
Who we are
Anchu is developed by Lorelio. For questions about this policy, contact [email protected].
What information we collect
When you use Anchu, the app collects a limited set of information to understand how the game is played and to improve it.
Anonymous device identifier. When you first open the app, we generate a random identifier and store it on your device. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any other personal information. It exists only to distinguish one device from another in anonymous gameplay data, and we cannot use it to identify you personally.
Session identifier. Each time you start a puzzle, the app generates a random identifier for that session. This is used only to group gameplay events from the same puzzle attempt and is not linked to any personal information.
Gameplay events. As you play, the app records what happens in the game: which puzzles you start and complete, how many words you place, how long you spend on each puzzle, what tier you reach, and similar non-identifying details about your play. The app does not record the specific words you type, the contents of your screen, or anything you do outside the app.
App information. The app records its own version number, build number, and the platform you're using (iOS or Android), so we can understand which versions of the app are in use.
Approximate location. The third-party analytics service we use (PostHog) records the IP address from which you connect, which provides approximate geographic information (country and region). We do not record your precise location, and the app does not access your device's GPS or location services.
What information we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, calendar, precise location, advertising identifiers (IDFA or GAID), screen content, keystrokes, passwords, or payment information. The app does not include advertising or in-app purchases.
How we use the information
The information we collect is used to understand how players experience Anchu, identify problems, and improve the game. We do not sell information to third parties, use it for advertising, or combine it with information from other sources.
Who we share information with
We use PostHog, an analytics service, to receive and store the gameplay events described above. PostHog acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy commitments, available at posthog.com/privacy. We do not share information with any other third parties for purposes unrelated to operating the app.
When you participate in beta testing via Apple TestFlight or Google Play internal testing, Apple or Google may collect additional information about your use of the app (such as crash logs and your name and email as registered with the testing service). This information flows through Apple's or Google's services subject to their own privacy policies, available at apple.com/legal/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy.
How long we keep information
Gameplay events are retained for as long as needed to analyze the game's performance and improve future versions. You can request deletion of information associated with your anonymous device identifier by contacting [email protected]. Note that because the identifier is anonymous, we may need additional information from you to locate the records associated with your device.
Your choices
You can stop the app from sending future gameplay events by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling removes the anonymous device identifier from your device.
Children
Anchu is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will indicate the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via the App Store and Play Store descriptions.
